The author brings the characters to life, demonstrating not only Paige’s personal fears but also her worries about her son. Young Kenny, who has epilepsy, relies on his service dog and his medication.
Between dodging bullets and being in close quarters, there’s a strong sense of attraction growing between the couple. However, will they be able to explore it, or will The Beast blow out the spark?
Although the cover art fails to do the book justice, the storyline delivers a well-developed plot with engaging characters. While this book is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone.
Shielding the Innocent Target showcases the importance of trust between the two characters as they try to outrun danger.
