The Description

Publication Date: October 21, 2026

Six witnesses. Two are dead… will I be next?

Faith was never expecting the knock at the door. She hasn’t seen Jacob since they were little children at Sunday school together. And what he says makes her shiver. “Someone is picking us off.”

Because thirty years ago, six children at Sunday school gave evidence against their teacher. He was sent to prison for a terrible crime. Now, two of those children are dead. Accident, suicide – or murder?

And Faith receives a chilling letter… I saw you with your son today. He’s all grown up now.

Is her own child in danger because of her past? Can Faith really trust Jacob, suddenly back in her life? And is the truth about what happened back then much darker than she ever thought?

A completely addictive and unputdownable psychological thriller that will have you breathlessly turning the pages! Perfect for anyone who loves T.M. Logan, Claire Douglas or Shari Lapena.

The Review

After three decades, the last person Faith expects on her doorstep is a fellow member of the Sunday School Six.

He brings her news of the seemingly random deaths of two others from the group, creating a sense of worry. Author Kerry Wilkinson serves up a well-plotted psychological thriller in Will I Be Next?

Using a past/present approach, details slowly emerge relating to a motley crew of children whose testimony puts a trusted adult behind bars. To regain a sense of peace for herself and her teen son, Faith is determined to find answers.

However, that path proves to be fraught with unexpected twists and turns. Not only must Faith dodge a determined killer, but she is forced to confront the truth about what happened in the past.

About The Author

Kerry Wilkinson is from the English county of Somerset but has spent far too long living in the north. It’s there that he’s picked up possibly made-up regional words like ‘barm’ and ‘ginnel’. He pretends to know what they mean.

He’s also been busy since turning thirty: his Jessica Daniel crime series has sold more than a million copies in the UK; he has written a fantasy-adventure trilogy for young adults; a second crime series featuring private investigator Andrew Hunter and the standalone thriller, Down Among The Dead Men.

My name is Amy W., and I am a book addict. I will never forget the day I came home from junior high school to find my mom waiting for me with one of the Harlequin novels from my stash. As she was gearing up for the "you shouldn't be reading this" lecture, I told her the characters get married in the end. I'm just glad she didn't find the Bertrice Small book hidden in my closet. I have diverse reading tastes, evident by the wide array of genres on my Kindle. As I made the transition to an e-reader, I found myself worrying that something could happen to it. As a result, I am now the proud owner of four Kindles -- all different kinds, but plenty of back-ups! "Fifty Shades of Grey" gets high marks on my favorites list -- not for character development or dialogue (definitely not!), but because it blazed new ground for those of us who believe provocative fiction is more than just an explicit cover. Sylvia Day, Lexie Blake, and Kristin Hannah are some of my favorite authors. Speaking of diverse tastes, I also enjoy Dean Koontz, Iris Johansen, and J.A. Konrath. I’m always ready to discover new-to-me authors, especially when I toss in a palate cleanser that is much different than what I would normally read. Give me something with a well-defined storyline, add some suspense (or spice), and I am a happy reader. Give me a happily ever after, and I am downright giddy.
