Author Harper Graham starts her Maple Falls series off with sizzle, spice, and plenty of nice in The Cinnamon Spice Inn. I have a weakness and a fondness for small-town romances and cozy mysteries. This book lived up to all my expectations and more.
Zach and Madison have smoking hot chemistry, and the sparks fly off the page. Zach is frustrated because the last thing he needs is to be distracted by his fiery, red-headed ex while renovating her family’s inn. But there she is, and what’s a guy to do?
The focus of this book was second chances. Second chances at love, community, and helping your neighbor.
My favorite secondary characters are Madison’s father and grandmother. Her dad has a soft spot for animals, and Grandma knows how to have a good time.
This book was a quick read. The writing was fantastic, the dialogue believable, and the romance, while, as previously mentioned, spicy, it wasn’t so hot that it would burn you alive. It was a great balance of sweet and spicy.
