The Description

Love Me with Lies: Book 2
Publication Date: March 17, 2026

Manipulation. Lies. Backstabbing.
Just your typical obsessively toxic love triangle.

Dear Opportunist,

You thought you could take him from me, but you lost. Now that he’s mine, I’ll do anything to keep him. Do you doubt me? I have everything that was supposed to be yours. In case you were wondering—he doesn’t even think about you anymore.

I won’t let him go…ever.
Dirty Red

Leah Smith finally has everything she’s ever wanted. Except she doesn’t. Her marriage feels more like a loan than a lifelong commitment, and the image she has worked so hard to build is fraying before her eyes. With a new role and a past full of secrets, Leah must decide how far she is willing to go to keep what she has stolen.

You know Olivia’s side of the story, but now it’s Leah’s turn.

Tarryn Fisher’s fan-favorite Love Me with Lies trilogy is back in all-new editions. Don’t miss The Opportunist, Dirty Red, and Thief !

The Review

Leah will do anything to keep her husband, but going up against his first love proves to be more than she anticipated.

Author Tarryn Fisher continues the Love Me with Lies trilogy in Dirty Red. Despite Olivia’s hold on Caleb’s heart, it is Leah who wears his ring and last name.

Continuing to build on the angst in the first book, the author continues the past/present approach to fill in the gaps and narrate from Leah’s perspective. Giving birth to a daughter seems to bring out a dark side to Leah’s personality, or maybe the blinders are ripped off.

This is not a “feel-good” story where the runner-up gets to keep the man. Leah’s bitterness festers when Caleb casts her aside, and the only thing that will make her feel better is revenge.

Her one-liner at the end of the story certainly accomplishes that goal and sets the stage for the final installment.

My name is Amy W., and I am a book addict. I will never forget the day I came home from junior high school to find my mom waiting for me with one of the Harlequin novels from my stash. As she was gearing up for the "you shouldn't be reading this" lecture, I told her the characters get married in the end. I'm just glad she didn't find the Bertrice Small book hidden in my closet. I have diverse reading tastes, evident by the wide array of genres on my Kindle. As I made the transition to an e-reader, I found myself worrying that something could happen to it. As a result, I am now the proud owner of four Kindles -- all different kinds, but plenty of back-ups! "Fifty Shades of Grey" gets high marks on my favorites list -- not for character development or dialogue (definitely not!), but because it blazed new ground for those of us who believe provocative fiction is more than just an explicit cover. Sylvia Day, Lexie Blake, and Kristin Hannah are some of my favorite authors. Speaking of diverse tastes, I also enjoy Dean Koontz, Iris Johansen, and J.A. Konrath. I’m always ready to discover new-to-me authors, especially when I toss in a palate cleanser that is much different than what I would normally read. Give me something with a well-defined storyline, add some suspense (or spice), and I am a happy reader. Give me a happily ever after, and I am downright giddy.
