While the book can be read as a standalone, reading the previous books isn’t necessary, but could help readers better understand the supporting characters and the backstory. I followed the plot, but reading the books prior would probably have deepened the story for me.
This book had all the good things—action, adventure, and plenty of drama. This was good drama, not toxic, dangerous drama.
The characters were tight-knit, and there was a sense of community. It felt right, as if they were meant to be together.
The suspense continued to ratchet up to the very end, and I stayed up way past my bedtime to get to the very exciting and satisfying end. It was well worth the loss of sleep, and I have no regrets.
Sinister Remnants is a roller coaster ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
Anita Dickason is a twenty-two-year veteran of the Dallas Police Department. Anita served as a patrol officer, undercover narcotics detective, advanced accident investigator, and Dallas SWAT tactical officer and first female sniper. Her law enforcement experience and knowledge provide an endless source of inspiration for her characters and plots.
