About The Book

Diamond Mystery: Book 3
Publication Date: July 10, 2023

Diamond. One name for a woman who is faking it until she makes it. And she will make it. At least that’s what she’s telling herself.

Dr. Robin Ransom is a therapist to first responders, cops, and spies. She has a problem. She is being blackmailed via email by a nameless, faceless crook. Things go from bad to worse when the neighbor who helped deal with the threat is found dead and her newest patient tries water boarding her for information on the enigmatic Blue Devil. With no good options, she makes a desperate attempt at escape.

Diamond is a former CIA agent turned widow turned somebody whose services are most definitely not for hire. As she is struggling to figure out what is next for her, an intriguing case falls practically in her lap. From a video gaming Beastmaster in Michigan, to a suicide bomber in Virginia, to a psychiatric conference in the south of France, Diamond jumps in with her usual flair for destruction and chaos. But Fate isn’t satisfied, pushing Diamond into a position where it is either her or the person she cares for most.

The Review

Caught up in survivor’s guilt after the death of her husband, Diamond wallows in her misery. When Sam Irish literally carries her out of the apartment for an appointment with a therapist, he likely didn’t expect they would get caught up in an action-packed adventure.

Psycho Therapy is the latest installment in the Diamond Mystery series by TG Wolff. Diamond certainly lives up to her name, with a hard exterior honed with sarcasm. However, she’s got plenty of moves in her arsenal to back up her sassy talk.

She and Irish stumble onto a blackmailing ring that includes therapists and their patients, with clues hidden in a role-playing online game. With the help of her teen IT whiz, Diamond digs deeper into the mystery, only to keep stumbling across a mystery man who also seems to be investigating.

Once they join forces, the action moves to a conference in France with Diamond impersonating Dr. Robin Ransom. While she has narrowed down the list of suspects, it’s just a matter of time before the culprit is unveiled.

It turns out Dr. Ransom forgot to fill Diamond in on all the details, including the group’s “swinging” tendency. Needless to say, this scene created plenty of laughter. In fact, the author did an excellent job timing Diamond’s one-liners, serving to cement her spot as a memorable character.

The bad guys get props for their creativity in tying up witnesses, although the gym incidents were rather horrifying.

Psycho Therapy delivers an action-packed adventure that also serves as an opportunity for a grief-stricken main character to regain her focus and live again.

My name is Amy W., and I am a book addict. I will never forget the day I came home from junior high school to find my mom waiting for me with one of the Harlequin novels from my stash. As she was gearing up for the "you shouldn't be reading this" lecture, I told her the characters get married in the end. I'm just glad she didn't find the Bertrice Small book hidden in my closet. I have diverse reading tastes, evident by the wide array of genres on my Kindle. As I made the transition to an e-reader, I found myself worrying that something could happen to it. As a result, I am now the proud owner of four Kindles -- all different kinds, but plenty of back-ups! "Fifty Shades of Grey" gets high marks on my favorites list -- not for character development or dialogue (definitely not!), but because it blazed new ground for those of us who believe provocative fiction is more than just an explicit cover. Sylvia Day, Lexie Blake, and Kristin Hannah are some of my favorite authors. Speaking of diverse tastes, I also enjoy Dean Koontz, Iris Johansen, and J.A. Konrath. I’m always ready to discover new-to-me authors, especially when I toss in a palate cleanser that is much different than what I would normally read. Give me something with a well-defined storyline, add some suspense (or spice), and I am a happy reader. Give me a happily ever after, and I am downright giddy.

  1. Thank you for reading, Amy. I’m glad Diamond entertained you – that’s what she’s made for. That and kicking Irish’s ass. Diamond is a smart woman, she has a master’s degree in chemistry, and she more than willing to push the envelope. It’s a dangerous but entertaining combination. You made me laugh with the comment on the gym scene…especially as I just came home from a workout and my legs are noodles!
Here’s hoping every read is a fun read.
