As the ship heads toward New York, it’s up to Peter to figure out what is happening while dodging passengers and crew members stricken with unbridled rage and other uncontrollable emotions. Meanwhile, he has his own personal issues he’s trying to overcome.
From a medical perspective, this scenario is a nightmare of epic proportions. Not only is the ship a floating cesspool of germs, but Peter has few available resources. The author skillfully brings the horrifying aspects to life as the clock starts to run down.

Kevin O. Hwang, MD, is a professor of internal medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston where he sees patients and teaches residents. His academic work has appeared in leading medical journals. Nothing excites him more than chicken enchiladas, index cards, and appropriately sized packaging. The Regression Strain is his debut novel.
