Natalie and her husband decide to escape the city for a much-needed break. After suffering from a terrible accident, Natalie needs some time and space to recover. So when they find a gorgeous rental home on an estate in the Hamptons available at the last minute, it seems too good to be true.
The owner of the estate, Sadie, is beautiful, elegant and wealthy, and Natalie is immediately drawn to her.
But as the women begin to bond, Natalie can’t shake the feeling that Sadie is hiding something beneath her polished exterior.
When Natalie discovers that the previous guest disappeared without a trace, dark questions surface: Who exactly is the hostess? What are her secrets? And can Natalie uncover the truth, before it’s too late?

A month in a beautiful home set in the Hamptons seems like an ideal getaway for Natalie and her husband while she continues to heal after an accident.
Author Courtney Psak turns up the psychological impact in The Hostess. While Natalie and Luke deal with their faltering marriage, the owner of the house appears to be hiding secrets of her own.
Sadie Wilson seems like the epitome of a wealthy woman who meticulously maintains her appearance. The narrative switches perspectives between Sadie and Natalie, offering a distinct contrast between their personalities.
Sadie’s relationship with her husband, Tom, unfolds in juicy snippets that evoke a sense of danger. For someone like Natalie suffering from a brain injury, it is difficult to determine what is real vs. imaginary. However, discovering the previous guest suddenly disappeared makes Natalie question what secrets are being hidden behind the house’s polished walls.
The author tops the suspense with a well-crafted conclusion, making this story qualify as one not to miss.
The Hostess may greet you with a smile, but secrets and lies are swimming under the surface.
