The Description

Wildflower Secrets: Book 3
Publication Date: January 28, 2026

As the sun filters through the farmhouse window, Tasha carefully turns over the fragile envelope, sealed for decades. She shivers. Will this letter reveal the secrets of Bluebell Farm?

Arriving at Bluebell Farm in the English countryside, historian Tasha has never felt more alone. Her twins have left for university, her marriage is over, and she’s said goodbye to the place she thought would always be her home. Exploring the tumbledown farm and striking up a friendship with elderly Maud, whose prickly exterior masks a warm heart, offers the distraction Tasha desperately needs.

Together with Ryan, a silver-haired, motorbike-riding archaeologist, Tasha digs into the farm’s history. Soon she finds faded photographs and a sealed, yellowing letter that calls to her. But Maud’s eyes fill with tears as she insists the long-lost letter must never be opened. Could it be from Maud’s father, who went missing after the Second World War?

Intrigued by the stories hidden behind Maud’s sharp blue eyes, Tasha and Ryan unearth a heart-wrenching secret. Maud’s father’s disappearance is not the only mystery hidden on this farm. If Maud reads the letter after all these years, will it reveal all?

And with Maud’s encouragement, can Tasha have a second chance at love with kind-hearted Ryan? Or will the heartache in their own pasts keep them apart?

An absolutely stunning, heart-breaking and addictive novel about family secrets and new beginnings. Fans of Barbara O’Neal, Tricia O’Malley and Liz Eeles will adore being swept away to the farms and villages of the stunning English countryside.

The Review

Nestled in an almost forgotten part of the English countryside is a treasure trove of history, complete with a prickly caretaker.

As a historian, Tasha throws all of her efforts behind the latest project, providing a distraction from her personal troubles.

Author Rebecca Alexander serves up the third installment in the charming Wildflower Secrets series with The Hidden Letter at Bluebell Farm. Past and present collide as Tasha coaxes memories from Maud.

Not only does the story detail young Maud’s childhood and the impact of the war on her family, but it also shines a light on her resilience. An unopened letter proves to be a catalyst for finding answers to longstanding questions.

While there is much to be said about historical preservation, I could feel Maud’s emotions as pieces of her life are catalogued. However, the author brings hope to what typically might be viewed as the end. Bringing Ryan into Tasha’s life offers new possibilities.

My name is Amy W., and I am a book addict. I will never forget the day I came home from junior high school to find my mom waiting for me with one of the Harlequin novels from my stash. As she was gearing up for the "you shouldn't be reading this" lecture, I told her the characters get married in the end. I'm just glad she didn't find the Bertrice Small book hidden in my closet. I have diverse reading tastes, evident by the wide array of genres on my Kindle. As I made the transition to an e-reader, I found myself worrying that something could happen to it. As a result, I am now the proud owner of four Kindles -- all different kinds, but plenty of back-ups! "Fifty Shades of Grey" gets high marks on my favorites list -- not for character development or dialogue (definitely not!), but because it blazed new ground for those of us who believe provocative fiction is more than just an explicit cover. Sylvia Day, Lexie Blake, and Kristin Hannah are some of my favorite authors. Speaking of diverse tastes, I also enjoy Dean Koontz, Iris Johansen, and J.A. Konrath. I’m always ready to discover new-to-me authors, especially when I toss in a palate cleanser that is much different than what I would normally read. Give me something with a well-defined storyline, add some suspense (or spice), and I am a happy reader. Give me a happily ever after, and I am downright giddy.
