Publication Date: February 10, 2026

Their relationship is fake… The chemistry is not!

A small-town girl with the coziest flower shop and a secret crush. A dark, rugged veteran with scars only she can see. Could fake dating turn into happily ever after? Gilmore Girls + spice = 🔥

🪴☕✨

Zoe Hart is right where she belongs: in the small town of Maple Falls, running her snug flower shop filled with the scent of rain-soaked earth, dried herbs, and spiced tea. But her oldest friend (and secret crush) Jackson is back too. And most of all, she longs to be in his strong arms. So when her hopelessly romantic mom bets on them being Maple Falls’ Couple of the Year, Zoe finds herself fake-dating the friend-zoned guy she’s always wanted…

When Jackson returns from military service, even working on his llama sanctuary can’t heal him. But Zoe is the only person who can truly make him smile. He’d do anything for her… even pretend to be dating. There’s nothing fake about his feelings as he crushes his lips to hers. But there’s no way she’d really want a broken man like him, would she?

All eyes are on them as the town prepares to vote for Couple of the Year. But when they discover a grove carpeted with long-lost flowers that shimmer like moonlight, real sparks fly. Will their make-believe romance bloom into true love forever?

Snuggle in with a steaming mug and a novel that feels like a hug on a crisp day. This cozy small-town romance is brimming with steamy romance and heart-warming, feel-good charm. Perfect for fans of Gilmore Girls, Laurie Gilmore, Emily Henry, and all things cozy + spicy.

The Review

When her mother mistakes an innocent hug for a passionate embrace, Zoe Hart finds herself caught up in a fake relationship.

Jackson Hawthorne may be burdened by memories of his military service, but Zoe has been in his corner—and thoughts—for over two decades. A little bit of pretend never hurt anyone, right?

Author Harper Graham serves up the third standalone installment in the Maple Hills series with The Cherry Crush Flower Shop. It is the epitome of a charming small community, right down to the Spring Fling Couple of the Year contest.

With the search for a special flower at the top of their agenda, Jackson and Zoe discover the fine line between pretend and reality. As the chemistry fires up, they will have to determine if they can take a chance together.

From start to finish, readers will find this story to be a heartwarming palette cleanser that magnifies the appeal of hometown charm. Between llamas and elusive flowers, romance is definitely in the air.

Amy Wilson
My name is Amy W., and I am a book addict. I will never forget the day I came home from junior high school to find my mom waiting for me with one of the Harlequin novels from my stash. As she was gearing up for the "you shouldn't be reading this" lecture, I told her the characters get married in the end. I'm just glad she didn't find the Bertrice Small book hidden in my closet. I have diverse reading tastes, evident by the wide array of genres on my Kindle. As I made the transition to an e-reader, I found myself worrying that something could happen to it. As a result, I am now the proud owner of four Kindles -- all different kinds, but plenty of back-ups! "Fifty Shades of Grey" gets high marks on my favorites list -- not for character development or dialogue (definitely not!), but because it blazed new ground for those of us who believe provocative fiction is more than just an explicit cover. Sylvia Day, Lexie Blake, and Kristin Hannah are some of my favorite authors. Speaking of diverse tastes, I also enjoy Dean Koontz, Iris Johansen, and J.A. Konrath. I’m always ready to discover new-to-me authors, especially when I toss in a palate cleanser that is much different than what I would normally read. Give me something with a well-defined storyline, add some suspense (or spice), and I am a happy reader. Give me a happily ever after, and I am downright giddy.
