The Description

Never List: Book 2
Publication Date: May 19, 2026

They said the trials were over.
They were wrong.

I survived the Choosing. I claimed my mates. I became immortal. But the kings weren’t finished with us yet.

Four princes. Four thrones. And a final season designed to decide if we’re worthy to rule. Every task is a test. Every smile is a lie. The people judge. The council votes. And the kings are waiting for us to fail.

I was never meant to be queen. I was an Ashlander who broke into a palace searching for her sister. Now I stand beside the Legends of Chaos, holding power the kingdom fears and love fierce enough to burn it all down.

To win the crowns, we’ll have to survive the Kings’ List.

Failure isn’t an option.

Because this time, we’re not just fighting for the throne—we’re fighting for each other.

The Never List series is best enjoyed in order.

The Review

When we last left the princes of Lumathyst, they watched their beloved mate fall prey to a deadly poison. However, Rylee Gray once again demonstrates why she, a nobody Ashlander, is worthy of becoming the new queen.

Author Jade Presley returns with The Kings’ List, which is the next installment in the romantasy series that started with The Never List. It’s not enough that the princes have chosen Rylee. Before the kings will turn the throne over to their sons, Rylee and the Legends of Chaos must complete seemingly impossible tasks.

With the kingdom under siege by a rebel group possibly led by Rylee’s sister and a designer drug sweeping through the population, Rylee must quickly get a handle on using her new magical powers.

The spice level continues to be off the charts with Jax, Axl, Pierce, and Kal each claiming a place in Rylee’s heart. However, before they can ascend to the throne, they face an unexpected evil enemy.

The world-building continues to earn high marks as the suspenseful adventure leaves readers on a cliffhanger, waiting for what happens next.

Amy Wilson
My name is Amy W., and I am a book addict. I will never forget the day I came home from junior high school to find my mom waiting for me with one of the Harlequin novels from my stash. As she was gearing up for the "you shouldn't be reading this" lecture, I told her the characters get married in the end. I'm just glad she didn't find the Bertrice Small book hidden in my closet. I have diverse reading tastes, evident by the wide array of genres on my Kindle. As I made the transition to an e-reader, I found myself worrying that something could happen to it. As a result, I am now the proud owner of four Kindles -- all different kinds, but plenty of back-ups! "Fifty Shades of Grey" gets high marks on my favorites list -- not for character development or dialogue (definitely not!), but because it blazed new ground for those of us who believe provocative fiction is more than just an explicit cover. Sylvia Day, Lexie Blake, and Kristin Hannah are some of my favorite authors. Speaking of diverse tastes, I also enjoy Dean Koontz, Iris Johansen, and J.A. Konrath. I’m always ready to discover new-to-me authors, especially when I toss in a palate cleanser that is much different than what I would normally read. Give me something with a well-defined storyline, add some suspense (or spice), and I am a happy reader. Give me a happily ever after, and I am downright giddy.
