This book is really good. It’s got suspense, a little romance, undercover FBI agents, and a second chance at love. This book hits all the feels, and it’s got an ending that I didn’t see coming.
I am not a good mystery solver, and I have my suspicions when I’m reading these books, but I am usually wrong, and the real culprit is someone I never even suspected. That was the case for this book too.
I liked the second-chance-at-love angle in this book. Tristan and Avery are young and in love, then horrible things happen, and they’re torn apart. However, the one thing I didn’t like is Tristan not answering Avery when she called. That was a real jerk move on his part. I also didn’t like that he got mad at her for not telling him about their child when she tried to call. I thought he didn’t have any room to get annoyed or upset at her.
I loved that Avery had a house in the woods and was so close to nature. I also liked Tristan’s dog Storm. He was a great secondary character. I’m a huge animal lover, and when they are incorporated in a book, that’s a huge treat to me.
I liked Tristan’s protective instincts and how much he wanted to protect Avery and their child.
This is book one in a series, so I hope we get more stories within this world and can check in on Tristan and Avery.
Seeking the Kidnapped Child is a great book to get lost in and enjoy. If second-chance love with some action and adventure is what the reader is looking for, then this book could be what you need.
Deena Alexander grew up in a small town on the south shore of eastern Long Island, where she met and married her high school sweetheart. She recently relocated to Florida with her husband, three kids, son-in-law, and four dogs. Now she enjoys long walks in nature all year long, despite the occasional alligator or snake she sometimes encounters. Deena’s love for writing developed when her youngest son was born and didn’t sleep through the night.
