One of the challenging aspects of reading this story is its organization. Within each chapter, there are subunits such as 11.1, 11.2, and so on. What stands out is the lack of consistency, which makes it seem as if parts of the story were written out of sequence. Repeating the main character’s first and last name throughout a chapter—and even within subunits—is distracting.
The Burial Map highlights an archaeological thriller with lasting ramifications.
