The Description

Maple Falls: Book 6
Publication Date: October 22, 2026

The snow is falling. So are they…

She works in Maple Falls’ cosiest kitchen. He’s the brooding firefighter from the family that’s feuded with hers for decades. They drive each other crazy, and now a snowstorm has thrown them together… Gilmore Girls + spice + Christmas chaos = 🔥

Emily whips up Christmas magic like a festive fairy: cinnamon rolls, gingerbread cookies, peppermint mochas with Mariah Carey on full blast. When a blizzard hits, her bakery’s kitchen is headquarters for holiday deliveries to save the town. The only problem? Cole, the hot, infuriating firefighter she loves to hate. Can she survive them working side by side?

Emily’s the hot-tempered blonde who pushes every one of Cole’s buttons. But with Maple Falls snowed in, he needs her help… and her orange-and-cinnamon scented kitchen. Soon it’s command central for Operation Sugar and Spice, with simmering pots, stacked pies, and elf-hatted volunteers loading snowmobiles. Emily’s attitude won’t let up… can they last until Christmas without strangling each other—or worse, falling for each other?

As sparks fly hotter than the kitchen’s wood-fired stove and the truth behind their family feud surfaces, will Emily and Cole give in to what’s always been burning between them… or stay on each other’s naughty list forever?

Grab a blanket, a hot chocolate, and settle in for a deliciously cosy and spicy holiday romance packed with quirky small-town charm, laugh-out-loud banter, sizzling chemistry and enough Christmas magic to melt the coldest heart.

The Review

A blizzard, freshly baked gingerbread cookies, and two stranded people earn high marks as ingredients for a spicy romantic comedy.

Add in two very reluctant main characters for a dash of enemies-to-lovers, and that sets the tone for Harper Graham’s The Sugar and Spice Kitchen.

Emily has no desire to be stuck in The Pumpkin Pie Bakery with her nemesis, Cole Alders. Granted, he’s the fire chief and looks good enough to eat.

Part of the Maple Falls series, this book can easily be enjoyed as a standalone. The same small-town flavor is woven into this installment, which also incorporates Christmas.

As the feuding duo set aside their differences in order to get vital holiday deliveries out the door, the spicy atmosphere proves to include more than just cinnamon. The only question is whether their attraction can survive when the emergency cools down.

Amy Wilson
My name is Amy W., and I am a book addict. I will never forget the day I came home from junior high school to find my mom waiting for me with one of the Harlequin novels from my stash. As she was gearing up for the "you shouldn't be reading this" lecture, I told her the characters get married in the end. I'm just glad she didn't find the Bertrice Small book hidden in my closet. I have diverse reading tastes, evident by the wide array of genres on my Kindle. As I made the transition to an e-reader, I found myself worrying that something could happen to it. As a result, I am now the proud owner of four Kindles -- all different kinds, but plenty of back-ups! "Fifty Shades of Grey" gets high marks on my favorites list -- not for character development or dialogue (definitely not!), but because it blazed new ground for those of us who believe provocative fiction is more than just an explicit cover. Sylvia Day, Lexie Blake, and Kristin Hannah are some of my favorite authors. Speaking of diverse tastes, I also enjoy Dean Koontz, Iris Johansen, and J.A. Konrath. I’m always ready to discover new-to-me authors, especially when I toss in a palate cleanser that is much different than what I would normally read. Give me something with a well-defined storyline, add some suspense (or spice), and I am a happy reader. Give me a happily ever after, and I am downright giddy.
