Summary

Caught by the Cowgirl was a wonderful read. It hit all my emotions and had me turning the pages. There was plenty of character development, and the romance was very well-rounded. I can't wait to continue the Rodeo Stars of Violet Ridge series and highly recommend this book to fans of contemporary Western romances.

She’s got a knack…

For roping in hearts

For rancher Will Sullivan, nothing is more beautiful than a Colorado sunrise…until Kelsea Carruthers shows up at his ranch, wanting to lease his land. But Will has plans for his struggling ranch that don’t include the gorgeous, quirky Southern belle. Now Kelsea is quickly learning how to be a true cowgirl—even as she steals everyone’s hearts. And this gruff, set-in-his-ways cowboy might just be falling the hardest…

The Review

I’ve really been in the mood lately for sweet romances. So, when the request to review Caught by the Cowgirl by Tanya Agler came across my desk, I knew I needed to get my hands on the book.

This book follows Will and Kelsea. Will is a retired rodeo star turned rancher. He took over the ranch after his parents passed away, and it’s not doing well. Will’s uncle, who is constantly coming up with get-rich-quick schemes, invites a renewable energy company to possibly put wind turbines on their land.

Enter Kelsea. She comes to the ranch to see if the land will work but keeps getting the run around from Will. And, of course, since this is a romance, sparks start to fly between the two, and they aren’t sure they can keep their relationship strictly professional.

I really liked both Will and Kelsea. Will was hard working and trying to adjust to all the changes in his life. He knows he should be entertaining the offer from Kelsea’s company, but at the same time, he has ideas for the ranch that may compromise the land. He also doesn’t want to like Kelsea, but the more time he spends around her, the more confused he gets. I liked how he was a gentleman with her even when he didn’t trust her motives. He was just a very relatable character.

Kelsea was just so quirky. She has bounced through so many jobs, and her father got her a position with this company. She wants to do her best, partially to please her father, who always seems to prefer her siblings. But she’s so very much a people person and just worms her way into the ranch and the community. I loved getting to know Kelsea and found her a very likable character.

Caught by the Cowgirl was a wonderful read. It hit all my emotions and had me turning the pages. There was plenty of character development, and the romance was very well-rounded. I can’t wait to continue the Rodeo Stars of Violet Ridge series and highly recommend this book to fans of contemporary Western romances.
