About The Book

Publication Date: February 29, 2024

“I’m done waiting around. You’re mine. No more games or pining over someone else when it’s me you want. You won’t remember his name after I get through with you.”

Lily knows exactly what she wants in life. To graduate, land a high-paying job, and forge her own way. Nothing will distract her. Until the ultimate playboy, billionaire Sebastian Dubree, barges in. Not to be overlooked, Lily’s longtime crush, Jackson, decides she’s worth the fight.

Reluctant to succumb to either, she quickly becomes a challenge to conquer.

Lily must decide between the familiarity of her childhood longing or the newly discovered passion ignited by the dominant CEO. But can she surrender without losing herself in the process, or will someone take matters into his own hands?

Boundaries blur between desire and resistance in this gripping coming-of-age romance, leaving readers yearning for more.

The Review

College student Lily Thompson is counting down the days until she gets her degree and can leave her dead-end job for a real advertising career.

While she’s never been distracted before, Sebastian Dubree is determined that innocent Lily will be his. This highly spicy adventure unfolds in Pursuit of Innocence by Bethany Rosa.

Sebastian knows how to get what he wants. Even though Lily’s longtime crush, Jackson, finally shows interest, Lily is drawn to Sebastian like a moth to a flame.

The challenge, though, is avoiding being just another notch on Sebastian’s bedpost. Lily must navigate unfamiliar emotions to ensure her dreams aren’t destroyed.

Packed with heat, this is an entertaining light read perfect for the beach. While it may perpetuate the playboy vs. innocent stereotype, the storyline weaves in interesting characters with the spice. As part of the Pursuit series, these characters get their own stories.

My name is Amy W., and I am a book addict. I will never forget the day I came home from junior high school to find my mom waiting for me with one of the Harlequin novels from my stash. As she was gearing up for the "you shouldn't be reading this" lecture, I told her the characters get married in the end. I'm just glad she didn't find the Bertrice Small book hidden in my closet. I have diverse reading tastes, evident by the wide array of genres on my Kindle. As I made the transition to an e-reader, I found myself worrying that something could happen to it. As a result, I am now the proud owner of four Kindles -- all different kinds, but plenty of back-ups! "Fifty Shades of Grey" gets high marks on my favorites list -- not for character development or dialogue (definitely not!), but because it blazed new ground for those of us who believe provocative fiction is more than just an explicit cover. Sylvia Day, Lexie Blake, and Kristin Hannah are some of my favorite authors. Speaking of diverse tastes, I also enjoy Dean Koontz, Iris Johansen, and J.A. Konrath. I’m always ready to discover new-to-me authors, especially when I toss in a palate cleanser that is much different than what I would normally read. Give me something with a well-defined storyline, add some suspense (or spice), and I am a happy reader. Give me a happily ever after, and I am downright giddy.
