Sally Witherspoon Mystery Series: Book 3
Publication Date: January 20, 2026
It’s holiday time in Berry Springs, where many come together to enjoy good food, drink, and the company of friends. Unfortunately, death is among the mix as people get mysteriously ill at the town’s Thanksgiving dinner. Deaths follow, and Sally must race to discover the truth before more people die off.
Coupled with worry for her aging parents, she is overwhelmed with the pressure and emotions, but she’ll push through to solve the crimes and restore peace to the town.

Set in the picturesque Ozarks in the small town of Berry Springs, Death for Sale is the third book in the Sally Witherspoon Mysteries series by Erik S. Meyers. Murders and investigations from the previous two books are referenced, and I was quickly back in the thick of things.
Sally, an amateur sleuth with good results in the past, is once again in the thick of things. We also get to know some of the townspeople better, many of whom we have met before. With multiple storylines, there are details and clues to sift through once another body is discovered. And the hits keep on coming, even though it’s the holiday season. Who will be next?
The story moves quickly, with red herrings woven throughout, as the race is on as to who will solve the murders first—Sally or the police. There is closure in solving who committed the murders and why, but the story ended abruptly.
Death for Sale once again features Sally solving crimes in this small-town cozy mystery, with murders and suspects galore.
