Summary

Ms. Malloy depicts Sicily to dynamic effect, and I could nearly taste the food as she described the textures and flavors of Italy.

4-STAR REVIEW: MAFIOSA PRINCESS-SACRIFICE by Liza Malloy

The Description

Mafiosa Princess: Book 2
Publication Date: February 1, 2022

Love is a dangerous game.

Giada Conti is determined to set her life back on track. Sure, Luca Marino is charming, generous, and dangerously good in bed. But he’s also, well, dangerous. Giada’s ready to accept that she chose the wrong man, but Luca isn’t making it easy for her to leave.

Adrian’s thrilled when Giada finally sees Luca’s true nature, but his relief is short-lived. When the Conti family business thrusts Giada into harm’s way, pretending to date Luca is the one thing that might keep her safe.

As the lines blur between Giada’s true feelings and what’s just for show, Adrian isn’t so sure where Giada’s heart will lead her. And as Luca lays all his cards on the table, Giada questions if she was so wrong about him in the first place.

Mafiosa Princess: Sacrifice is the enthralling second book in the steamy mafia romance series that has everyone talking.

The Review

Mafiosa Princess – Sacrifice is the second book in the Mafiosa Princess series by Liza Malloy and has all the same players. The book picks up where we left off with lots of family, not all by blood, friends, criminals, crimes committed, injuries and death, bodyguards, naivety on Giada’s part, romance, loving, and love.

Several storylines were woven together, and Giada and either of her love interests, Luca or Adrian, were always central to the plot. If I were either one of them, I would have given up on her a long time ago. But somehow, she bounces from one to the other, and they always give her another chance.

Giada is about to graduate college but has always led a protected life. Her love interests, family, or bodyguard constantly surround her, and she still makes poor choices. She lives in denial of who Luca really is and doesn’t seem to get that her family is in the same “business.” Really?

Ms. Malloy depicts Sicily to dynamic effect, and I could nearly taste the food as she described the textures and flavors of Italy.

There were twists and turns to the story, and my heart was racing more than once. There is some closure, but the book ended abruptly and with a cliffhanger, leading us to the next book that had a preview at the back. I look forward to reading it to see where Giada’s life leads her.
