With Deadly Tides, author Mary Keliikoa gives readers a severed foot found on the beach, a pool of blood, and a missing surf legend—but not all in one place. As Sheriff Turner starts investigating, his research overlaps with a case run by his former wife, an FBI agent.

Sheriff Turner is in a much better headspace than in the last book, where he was contemplating ending his life. While he and Abby haven’t reconciled, he has been able to process his daughter’s death.

As part of the homicide investigation, Sheriff Turner starts unraveling clues that lead to a tangled web of locals who can’t seem to keep their stories straight. Once he and Abby compare notes, it becomes clear that the two cases are connected, and Jax may be in danger.

Deadly Tides delivers a surprise twist to an already complicated case threatening Misty Pines.
