A Sam Quinton Mystery: Book 4
Publication Date: March 14, 2023
Laura Mosby is like a lot of young women, working in a job she doesn’t like, looking for a way out, and doing her best to enjoy her privacy. When she dies a violent death at the hands of an intruder, it’s at first brushed off as a standard homicide. But when Lieutenant Santiago, the supervising detective, comes across evidence linking her death to a local politician, he begins to see the faint threads of a much nastier scheme. Desperate to shield his people from potential harm, he turns to Sam Quinton, full-time gym owner and part-time private investigator, to help solve Laura’s murder and help the police department evade the wrath of City Hall.
Private investigator Sam Quinton is back for another mystery, this time to dig deeper into a potentially high-stakes murder.
Author Kevin R. Doyle packs plenty of solid detective work in Clean Win. A local hairdresser has been murdered, and the investigation seems to be growing cold.
Quinton comes on board at the request of a police lieutenant once lab results come back implicating a top politician. However, the case has to be airtight, or in this case, a clean win. While no stranger to investigations, this one requires Quinton to steer clear of his law enforcement pals.
Who killed Laura Mosby? It seems that everyone is suddenly investigating the case, but Quinton is determined to unravel the clues and nail the culprit, fair and square.
Quinton’s laid-back approach provides a compelling main character with a solid sense of humor. As a result, the storyline flows smoothly and naturally. The Missouri setting was interesting, particularly the mention of Rolla.
Clean Win delivers an interesting mystery that will keep readers guessing along the way.

Thank you so much for reviewing!
Amy,
Wow, thanks for the kind review. I’ve lived in Missouri for over two decades, so do my best to sprinkle in some obvious and some not so obvious references.
Also, thanks for the extra graphics.
