Summary

If you're looking for a short, but steamy second chance story, Falling Forever might be the book for you. I'd recommend all three books in the series for a satisfying day of reading. I kind of hope that we may revisit this fictional Pacific Northwest locale... I think there are many more stories to be told.

Love is about moving on from the past and creating a future…

TAWNY

The pain of my first and only heartbreak has kept me alone for ten years. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy, successful, and content watching my sisters fall in love and start their own families. At least I was… until Mac came back to town. Now he’s stirring up memories and feelings that I wish would stay buried. But what if I was wrong all those years ago? What if one misunderstanding cost me my one chance at true love?

MAC

There’s a reason I moved away from our small town on Westmount Island, and it has two names. Tawny Michaels. She broke my heart, and I vowed never to let her get close enough to do that again. When my family needs me to come home, I know I’ll have to face her eventually. But nothing can prepare me for the moment we come face to face again. She still owns my heart, but after everything that happened, can we build the future we used to dream about?

The Review

Falling Forever is the last book in Julia Jarrett’s Westmount Island trilogy. This book follows Tawny, the oldest Michaels sister, and her high school sweetheart Mac. The book stands alone quite well, but if you’ve read the previous books, the couples all make an appearance.

Tawny and Mac secretly dated in high school and everyone knew they were the best of friends. And then Mac left the island to go to college and they broke up, unknowingly breaking each other’s hearts. Ten years later, Mac comes home to help her parents and runs into Tawny and the spark is still there.

Falling Forever is by far my favorite of the three books in this series. Not that the others were bad, but I’m not the biggest fan of the instant love trope. This is a second chance story and it’s much more believable for me. Ms Jarrett was able to really develop the romance and explore the fears both Tawny and Mac have in trying to make this second chance stick.

If you’re looking for a short, but steamy second chance story, Falling Forever might be the book for you. I’d recommend all three books in the series for a satisfying day of reading. I kind of hope that we may revisit this fictional Pacific Northwest locale… I think there are many more stories to be told.
