The Review

As soon as Jett and Mia lock eyes, it’s instant attraction. However, in spite of falling in love, they are forced apart, only to cross paths a decade later.

Author Susan Zoe Bella provides readers with a second-chance romance in High Point. The storyline begins in the past, setting the stage for Mia and Jett to meet, and then moves forward 10 years.

Mia’s character is quite broken emotionally before she encounters Jett. Her struggles to overcome anxiety play a significant role in how she handles conflict. When outside forces separate them, Mia has the opportunity to move across the country for a fresh start.

When their jobs cross paths, the two get a second chance to explore their feelings. However, remnants from the past rise up to threaten their newly-found happiness. It’s a fast-paced storyline with a solid focus on the characters, with the romance coming in fairly high on the sweet side.

High Point focuses on a second chance for a couple separated by cruel lies and deception.
