Vegas Aces Series: Book 5
Publication Date: April 15, 2021
When the worst-case scenario becomes reality, all the Lucky Charms in the world can’t solve our problems. Just when Luke started to open up, he closes himself off again.
When we first met, he assured me he was no Prince Charming. I’m starting to believe him.
And then tragedy strikes.
This can go one of two ways. Either he’ll lean on me the way a husband should lean on a wife, or he’ll push me away. But I’ve got a little secret of my own, and I have no idea what it means for our end game.
I want to start by saying that this is book five in the series and the final book. In no way, shape or form does this book stand on its own. If you jump in here, I guarantee you’ll be lost… and it just won’t be as satisfying if you haven’t been with Luke and Ellie on their complete journey. This was probably my second favorite book in the series, following book one, Home Game.
It’s hard to review this book without giving anything away from the prior books. But, that said, there’s character development and growth. The plot does come full circle and gets resolved in many ways (with a couple more curveballs thrown in for good measure). Ms. Suzanne played with my emotions as I laughed and cried as I frantically turned the pages to see how this all played out.
End Game was the book I was waiting for in the Vegas Aces series. It’s the last book, and since it’s a romance, we know there’s a happily ever after on the horizon. I’ve been patiently waiting for this moment as Ms. Suzanne took Ellie and Luke on a roller coaster ride of emotions, filled with ups and downs, twists and turns, and a couple of cliffhangers along the way. Well done!
